DAMASCUS- Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his wife Asma al-Assad are infected with the coronavirus, the Syrian Presidency said in a statement on Monday.
They are in a good health and in a stable condition, according to SANA news agency.
After feeling mild symptoms similar to those of infection with Covid-19, they conducted a PCR test, whose result showed that they are infected with the virus.
They will continue their work during their home quarantine period, which will last for two or three weeks.
