DAMASCUS – Syrian Prime Minister Mohamed Ghazi Al Jalali said Monday his country seeks a swift and smooth transition of power.
In statements to Sky News, Jalali said the government is ready to co-operate with the opposition and hand over its functions to a transitional government.
He added that the security conditions in the Syrian streets are calm now after days of chaos.
Jalali pointed out that most of the ministers are present in the capital and are carrying out their duties to provide services to citizens.
On the country’s foreign policy, Jalali said the new government will be responsible for drawing up the country’ relations with other countries.
