RAMALLAH – Scores of settlers, guarded by Israeli forces, stormed Al Aqsa Mosque compound on Sunday.
The settlers carried out provocative tours in the mosque’s yards and performed Talmudic rituals, eyewitnesses said.
Israeli police deployed at the gates of the Old Town and the mosque compound banned citizens from entering the mosque, causing a decline in the number of worshippers for the fourth consecutive month.
Al Aqsa Mosque is subject to daily attacks by settlers in an attempt to exercise full control on the Mosque and divide it in terms of time and space.
