RAMALLAH – Israeli settlers on Monday stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem in the central West Bank under the protection of Israeli occupation police, WAFA News Agency reported.
Dozens of settlers entered the mosque in groups through the Moroccan Gate, which has been controlled by the occupation authorities since 1967, and performed Talmudic rituals.
The Israeli occupation forces turned the Old City of occupied East Jerusalem into a military zone, deploying hundreds of their forces at close intervals, especially at the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque. They also intensified their military procedures at the gates of the mosque and the Old City, imposing restrictions on the entry of worshippers.
