The Association of Arab Universities (AArU), in collaboration with Belgravia Advisers, is preparing to launch the Arab Universities and International Student Recruitment Agents Forum, scheduled to take place from 28 to 29 July 2025 in Amman, Jordan.

The forum aims to strengthen international cooperation between Arab higher education institutions and certified student recruitment agents from around the world. It will feature bilateral meetings, the signing of strategic partnership agreements, and discussions on mechanisms to increase enrollment and student engagement in Arab universities.

This initiative aligns with the mission of the Association of Arab Universities to enhance the global standing of Arab higher education and to develop tools that keep pace with international changes and challenges in student recruitment.

In this context, Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary-General of the Association, stated: “This forum represents a strategic platform to strengthen the presence of Arab universities on the international educational map. It opens new horizons for collaboration with specialized partners in student recruitment. At the Association, we firmly believe that expanding international student enrollment not only enriches cultural diversity on campuses but also contributes to enhancing educational quality and boosting the global competitiveness of our institutions.”

It is worth mentioning that the Association of Arab Universities was established in 1964 through an initiative by the League of Arab States. Headquartered in Amman, Jordan, its foundation followed two key conferences held in Benghazi and Beirut, which addressed challenges in Arab higher education and proposed frameworks for inter-university cooperation. The first General Conference was held in 1969 with the participation of 23 founding universities, during which the General Secretariat became permanent, and Dr. Morsi Ahmed, former Minister of Higher Education in Egypt, was elected as the first Secretary-General.
