MOSCOW – Russian air defence systems shot down 39 Ukrainian drones in Russian territory overnight, ABC Media reported Tuesday.
“The latest attempts by the Kyiv regime to carry out terrorist attacks on facilities located in the territory of the Russian Federation using fixed-wing drones were thwarted,” Russia’s Ministry of Defence said.
“Air defense forces detected and destroyed 39 Ukrainian drones: 24 in the Rostov region, five in Bryansk, three in Belgorod, three in Kursk, one in Oryol, another one in Voronezh, and two in Crimea,” the ministry added.
