ABU DHABI– The Muslim Council of Elders, headed by Al Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed El Tayyeb, announced that registration for the second edition of the Emerging Peacemakers Forum has begun.
The council’s Secretary-General Mohamed Abdel Salam said the forum, set to be held on July 6-14 in Geneva, aims to qualify youth leaderships for peacemaking and peaceful coexistence.
The forum is meant to bring together young leaders, entrepreneurs, researchers, and representatives of civil society organizations of different races, religions and ethnicities.
Participants should have general knowledge of issues of peaceful conflict resolution, peace building and dialogue management. Experience in a related field such as mediation – peace building – interfaith dialogue – conflict resolution is preferred.
