CAIRO – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi stressed the importance of achieving stability in the Middle East region, relieving regional tension and acting on reaching an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and providing relief aid to the Palestinians in the enclave.
Speaking at a joint press conference with visiting President of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bećirović at El-Ittihadiya Palace, President Sisi said “I agreed with the President of Bosnia on the necessity of making every effort to achieve stability in the Middle East and de-escalate the regional tension.”
During the press conference, President Sisi said that the two sides agreed on the importance of uniting international efforts to achieve an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and ensure the delivery of relief aid to all areas of the Strip.
President Sisi underlined the need for serious and immediate engagement in the process of reaching a just and sustainable political solution to the Palestinian issue on the basis of the two-state solution and the establishment of a Palestinian state on the lines of June 4, 1967, with Al Quds (East Jerusalem) as its capital.
