RAMALLAH – Palestinian Prime Minister Mohamed Shtayyeh asserted that the Palestinian state is a national option for all Palestinians and its price has been paid with the blood of martyrs and wounded people, WAFA news agency reported.
He said the Palestinian state is proceeding in with its march to achieve freedom and independence despite all the pressures and hardships facing it.
The Palestinian premier also noted that local elections will be held as scheduled and that the government is going on with its reform process and a clear plan will be soon announced to the whole world.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Central Council, the second-highest decision-making body in the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), kick-started on Sunday night its 31st session at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah.
After the roll-call and establishing a quorum, the meeting opened with a speech by the outgoing speaker of the Palestinian National Council, the highest decision-making body in the PLO, Salim Zanoun, read on his behalf by the deputy speaker, Father Constantine Qarmash.
