CAIRO – Palestinian Minister of Awqaf (endowments) Mohamed Mostafa Nejm has hailed the outcome of the 35th International Conference of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs which kicked off on Sunday under the auspices of President Abdel Fatah El Sisi.
In statements to MENA on Monday, the Palestinian Minister said the event was held at a crucial time where the Islamic world needs to support the role of women especially in the religious awareness domain.
Nejim underscored the role of Muslim women in spreading societal peace and security saying all religious texts asserted the importance of maintaining the dignity of women.
He hailed the role of the Palestinian women who live under exceptional critical conditions under the occupation.
The two-day conference, which is held under the rubric of “Role of Women in Building Awareness, aims to underscore appreciation for women and highlight their role in building a family, a society and a nation.
The prestigious event convenes with over 60 delegations, including more than 100 ministers, muftis, and scholars from across the world.
