Palestinian Ambassador in Cairo Diab Al-Louh extended thanks to Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi over all efforts exerted to support the Palestinian issue especially under the current “very tough” conditions.
The Palestinian ambassador said at at a press conference he held Sunday that it is held to disclose the latest developments in the Palestinian territories which he described as “dangerous and tough”.
He pointed out that the Palestinian people are currently subjected to an organized genocide by the Israeli entity which has been committing heinous crimes and massacres against the Palestinians nationwide.
The Palestinian diplomat made it clear that Israel is intentionally destroying the infrastructure such as buildings, hospitals, schools, mosques in Gaza Strip, noting that 14 medical centers have been totally damaged by the Israeli airstrikes.
The Palestinian ambassador described as “dangerous and tough” the problems of residents in Gaza who suffer a sharp lack of medical supplies, power outage and consequently halt to water distribution.
He sounded the alarm against the consequences of such “dangerous” situation as a result of the racist Israeli siege imposed on the enclave, noting that Israel has recently been supporting the terrorist actions by settlers against the Palestinian people in the West Bank and Al Quds City.
Al-Louh also warned that the power outage and water scarcity in Gaza would lead to spread of diseases and epidemics among Palestinians, noting that the recent Israeli airstrikes have left thousands of martyrs, damaged more than 30,000 housing units and displaced more than 1.2 million persons in Gaza.
He said “We totally refuse the displacement of Palestinian citizens from their homes in Gaza to other places , terming this action as a breach of humanitarian and international law and the fourth Geneva Convention.”
The ambassador urged the international community to intervene to halt the bloody Israeli aggression against Palestinian people in Gaza, the West Bank and Al Quds, calling for providing urgent international protection for the Palestinian people against the Israeli actions.
He went on to say: “We totally refuse and reject pushing the people to move towards the Egyptian borders, and we highly appreciate President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s efforts as he said that Egypt has been hosting nine million people who were forced to leave their countries, but this case is totally different.”
