Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Tuesday condemned what it described as “the heinous crime” committed by the Israeli occupation army against the Palestinian people in the besieged Gaza Strip, which led to the killing of 12 citizens, most of them children, women and unarmed civilians, according to WAFA news agency.
The ministry, in a statement, said the crime is “an extension of the occupation’s open war against our people and their just and legitimate national rights, and a continuation of the Israeli government’s attempts to export its crises to the Palestinian arena and resolve them at the expense of the rights of our people.”
The ministry held the Israeli government fully and directly responsible for this aggression and its consequences, considering it a dangerous escalation.
It called on the international community to urgently intervene to stop the aggression against the Palestinian people, stressing that a negotiated political settlement to the conflict is the only way to achieve security and stability in the area.
