CAIRO – The Israeli occupation army Wednesday issued a warning to all Palestinian residents in the Gaza Port area and the southern district of Al-Rimal, west of Gaza City.
A statement issued by spokesman of the Israeli occupation forces Avichay Adraee, said “the army will soon launch an attack on the Tayba 2 Tower due to the presence of Hamas infrastructure inside or near the building.”
The statement added that “to ensure the safety of residents, everyone is requested to evacuate the building immediately and move southward to the humanitarian zone in Al-Mawasi, Khan Younis.”
Meanwhile, in the West Bank, Israeli occupation forces today uprooted olive trees from lands belonging to the towns of Yamoun and Araqa, west of Jenin.
In the same context, occupation forces tightened their military measures at the Jaba’ military checkpoint northeast of Al-Quds (occupied East Jerusalem) stopping and searching citizens’ vehicles, checking their ID cards and obstructing traffic, which caused severe congestion.
Occupation forces also stormed the town of Al-Asakra, east of Bethlehem, raided several homes and distributed leaflets threatening residents as part of their policy of pressure and restrictions on the town’s people.
For the third consecutive day, Israeli forces continued storming towns and villages northwest of occupied East Jerusalem.
Palestinian News Agency WAFA reported that the forces stormed the town of Biddu, sparking clashes and fired live bullets, tear gas and stun grenades at citizens. They raided and searched several houses, launched a wide-scale raid campaign in the towns of Qatna and Al-Qubeiba, assaulted citizens, vandalized and searched homes, turned one house into a military post and detained residents for field interrogations.
The forces also tightened their measures at the Al-Nabiq checkpoint, which connects the towns of Biddu and Al-Jeeb, checking citizens’ IDs and searching their vehicles, which further obstructed movement and led to severe traffic congestion.
