CAIRO – The Egyptian Health Ministry announced receiving a number of Palestinians injured during Gaza incidents through Rafah border crossing upon directives from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to extend all health support to Gazans.
Health Ministry Spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghafar said the injured have been checked up, noting that their number is 21 persons.
He said all cases of the injured are receiving the highest medical care from medical teams present in Rafah whether inside the crossing or at the hospitals.
The spokesman also said a number of 344 of foreign nationals have also been examined and they include 72 children who were given polio, measles and mumps vaccinations.
He also asserted that medical teams at the Health Ministry, in coordination with the bodies concerned, will continue to receive the injured people and offer them all medical care. The ministry has formed a crisis management room to follow up the situation minute by minute, he said.
