CAIRO – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Sunday congratulated his Chadian counterpart Mahamat Idriss Déby over the phone on his victory in the presidential elections.
President Déby appreciated the kind gesture from El Sisi, affirming his country’s commitment to enhancing the distinguished nature of the historical relations between the two countries and their peoples.
Presidential spokesperson Ahmed Fahmy stated that the two presidents emphasised their determination to advance and diversify the frameworks of cooperation across various fields.
They also agreed to continue consultations regarding addressing the different regional and continental challenges, in light of the rapid developments that necessitate solidarity and coordination among African brothers.
