Media meetings of the Arab League’s General Secretariat kicked off on Tuesday in Jordan, under the auspices of Jordanian Minister of State for Media Affairs and Government Spokesman Faisal Al Shboul.
Chairman of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation (SCMR) Karam Gabr participates in the meetings that will last until next Thursday.
Also, representatives from various Arab countries, a number of officials in the media and communication sector from the Arab League, and representatives of Arab federations and bodies concerned with media and communication affairs will participate in the meetings.
The meetings will discuss a number of important media issues, topped by the role of the media in confronting extremism, the effects of electronic media and electronic games on societies and generations, and other related topics.
