AMMAN- Jordan and Norway underlined the need of finding a just solution to the Palestinian cause, based on a two-state solution.
The two countries also warned that the current situation to Palestine can not lead to anything but of an explosion of the situation.
This came during a joint press conference held by Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi and Norwegian Foreign Minister Anniken Huitfeldt, following their talks on Monday in Jordan.
Jordan and Norway affirm the need of finding a just solution to the Palestinian cause, Safadi added during the press conference.
Norway has a firm stance toward the Palestinian cause, Safadi said, hailing Norway’s support to Palestine and its efforts in this respect.
Safadi, meanwhile, said that he discussed with the Norwegian foreign minister a host of regional and international issues, adding that cooperation between the two countries in combating terrorism was on the top of the bilateral talks.
Talks also dealt with the need of reaching a solution to the Syrian crisis along with a host of Arab, regional and international causes, he added.
Jordan and Norway established diplomatic ties more than 60 years ago, he noted.
For his part, the Norwegian minister hailed the strong ties binding her country and Jordan, affirming that the two countries are keen on promoting bilateral co-operation.
She further described her talks with Safadi as strong and fruitful, noting that talks mainly tackled a host of regional and international issues of mutual interest.
