John Kerry says anger from developing nations towards wealthier countries is ‘understandable’

SHARM EL-SHEIKH – US Climate Envoy John Kerry said on Monday anger from developing nations towards wealthier countries is ‘understandable.’

The US climate envoy has told Sky News at the COP27 summit that he understands why poorer nations may feel richer countries aren’t doing enough to tackle climate change.

The US supports the issue of Loss and Damage as a positive matter, Kerry added. In UN climate talks, the phrase “Loss and Damage” refers to costs already being incurred from climate-fueled weather extremes or impacts, like rising sea levels.
