GAZA – Israeli warplanes and artillery targeted areas east of Gaza City on Monday, resulting in dozens of deaths and injuries, in addition to displacing thousands of families.
Sources in the civil defense sector and journalists from Gaza reported that the Israeli occupation forces, which advanced at dawn towards the southwestern areas of Gaza City, positioned themselves behind the universities near the Ministry of Prisoners’ headquarters. Drones and helicopters continued firing in Tel Al-Hawa area.
The sources reported that several families remain trapped inside their homes in the southwestern part of Gaza City because they are unable to leave due to the shelling and drone fire.
The movement of Palestinian citizens fleeing their homes at dawn coincided with the shelling of the Sabra and Tel Al-Hawa neighborhoods.
