RAMALLAH – Israeli occupation forces today and last night detained 16 Palestinians from various parts of the occupied territories, WAFA quoted local and Palestinian security sources as saying.

They said that special Israeli forces in a civilian Palestinian-registered vehicle sneaked into Beit Rima town, northwest of Ramallah, abducted an attorney and searched his house, tampering with its contents.

In the northern West Bank, Israeli forces rounded up two Palestinians after ransacking their houses in Bal’a town, northeast of Tulkarm.

They also barged their way into Tubas city, forcibly entered and searched a house and detained another.

In the southern West Bank, the military vehicles stormed Marah Rabah village, south of Bethlehem, where the soldiers detained two men, including a former prisoner.

The soldiers detained another from the Bethlehem city neighborhood of al-Saff.

Still in Bethlehem district, a military force barged into the Shepherd’s Field Hospital and a nearby plant nursery in Beit Sahour, as reported by the hospital.

Meanwhile, the sources said that four people were detained from the southern West Bank city of Hebron.

They confirmed a similar raid in Deir Sammit town, west of the city, resulting in the detention of another.

Soldiers also rounded up four men from al-Samou and Yatta towns, south of Hebron, and searched and ransacked their houses.
