RAMALLAH – Israeli occupation forces punitively destroyed two family homes in the village of Urif, to the south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, WAFA quoted local sources as saying.
The forces blew up the house of the family of Hamed Kayed Sabbah, a Palestinian in Israeli imprisonment, and demolished the house of the family of Ziad Jibril Safadi – another detainee – in the village, the sources said.
According to the sources, a large contingent of the Israeli military, accompanied by a bulldozer, stormed the village in the late night hours.
The forces surrounded the family home of the detained Sabbah, forcibly evacuated the family, along with adjacent homes, before blowing up the dwelling located on the second floor of an old three-story building housing four families totaling 16 individuals.
Subsequently, the Israeli occupation forces proceeded to demolish the home of the detained Ziad Jibril Safadi.
The Israeli occupation forces also arrested three Palestinians during the raid into the village.
