Israeli occupation forces arrested at least 37 Palestinians Wednesday from various cities and governorates across the West Bank.
Palestinian News Agency WAFA reported that Israeli forces arrested 12 Palestinians, including two women, from Hebron Governorate following raids on their homes, that were searched and ransacked and the residents were subjected to mistreatment.
Occupation forces also set up military checkpoints at the entrances to Hebron and its towns, villages, refugee camps and closed a number of main and secondary roads using iron gates, concrete blocks and earthen barriers.
WAFA added that a wide arrest campaign was carried out in the town of Aqaba, north of Tubas, as nine Palestinians were detained and a number of homes were raided. Additionally, 10 Palestinians were arrested from the village of Imatin, east of Qalqilya and three others from Bethlehem Governorate. A young man was also arrested after being shot in the thigh with live ammunition while leaving his home with his sister in the northern neighborhood of Tulkarm.
Two more Palestinians were arreste during raid on Aqbat Jaber refugee camp south of Jerico.
