Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani discussed during a meeting on Wednesday with Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abd Allahian ways of fostering bilateral ties.
The media office of the Iraqi Prime Minister said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani received this morning, Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abd Allahian, at al-Sudani’s residence in the Iranian capital, Tehran.”
It also stated that “during the meeting, they discussed the overall bilateral relations between the two countries and their development, as well as affirming Iraq’s pivotal role in the region, and its efforts to strengthen security and consolidate stability in it.”
The statement added, “The meeting also witnessed discussions on ways to enhance economic and trade relations, within the framework of constructive co-operation and partnership between the two neighbouring countries.”
