MEDINA, Saudi Arabia – The operations room of hajj lottery system is working around-the-clock to follow up on conditions of pilgrims and ensure the provision of all means of comfort for them to perform the annual ritual in peace and tranquility.
MENA correspondent in Saudi Arabia said on Saturday that he was keen on embarking on a field tour of the operations room in Medina which includes several officers and crew.
The room with all its staff spares no effort to serving pilgrims after a two-year hiatus because of Covid-19 pandemic, according to him.
The officials in charge of the room said that the room is responsible for finalizing all measures for the pilgrims since arriving at Cairo International Airport to travel to Saudi Arabia, where they will perform hajj.
The more advanced operations room in Medina is an extension of technological development, which has been achieved by Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfiq in all sectors of the ministry since assuming his post and that comes in line with the age of digitalization and IT adopted in the new republic, he added.
