French ambassador in Cairo Éric Chavlier praised Egypt’s efforts in receiving and delivering aid to the Gaza Strip.
During the ambassador’s inspection Thursday, along with his accompanying delegation of aid warehouses of the Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) in the city of Arish, in the presence of Governor of North Sinai Khaled Megawer, the French dipolmat lauded all Egyptian efforts in this respect.
During the visit, the French ambassador and his delegation toured the various sections of the warehouses and received detailed explanations from Egyptian Red Crescent officials regarding the process of delivering humanitarian, food and relief aid to Arish and the procedures for sending it onward to the Gaza Strip.
The governor said aid reaches North Sinai through three main channels including trucks, ships and planes.
The ERC is responsible for receiving the aid, transporting relief assistance to its warehouses and storing it before forwarding it to Gaza, he said.
