CAIRO – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty phoned his DR Congolese counterpart Jean-Claude Gakosso on ways to strengthen bilateral relations and to coordinate on African issues of mutual interest.
Abdelatty conveyed greetings from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to his DR Congolese counterpart Denis Sassou Nguesso, highlighting the fraternal ties between the two countries.
He expressed Egypt’s commitment to enhancing bilateral relations and advancing coordination frameworks in political, economic, and developmental fields.
The top diplomat expressed Egypt’s readiness to share its expertise to support DR Congo’s National Development Plan 2022-2026, which includes sectors such as agriculture, tourism, and the development of special economic zones.
The two ministers also exchanged views on shared areas of interest, underscoring the importance of achieving consensus and African unity.
They agreed on mutual support for each country’s nominations in regional and international forums.
