Fatah condemns Haniyeh's assassination as heinous crime, cowardly act 1 - Egyptian Gazette

RAMALLAH, July 31 (MENA) – Palestine National Liberation Movement (Fatah) said the assassination of Hamas leader and political bureau Ismail Haniyeh is a heinous crime and cowardly act.The policy of assassinations will not undermine the determination of the Palestinian people to obtain their national rights to freedom and independence, it added.In a press release on Wednesday, Fatah called on the Palestinians to unite in this critical juncture to reject all conspiracies to liquidate the Palestinian cause and preserve the political and geographical unity between the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Al-Quds.Fatah offered condolences to the Palestinian people, Hamas Movement and family of the martyr.Meanwhile, Palestinian Authority presidential adviser Mahmoud Habbash condemned the assassination of Haniyeh.He told Sky News Arabia that Haniyeh’s killing is a heinous crime to be added to crimes committed by Israel and complicates reaching a truce in the Gaza Strip.Haniyeh was killed in the Iranian capital of Tehran, according to an official statement by Hamas on Wednesday.
