ALEXANDRIA, Egypt – EU Ambassador in Cairo Christian Berger underlined the importance of raising awareness among children about rationalizing water consumption and protecting the environment.
He made the remarks during a ceremony held on Saturday on “climate and water awareness for children future.” The event is organized by the EU delegation and the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater.
The ceremony falls within the framework of celebrations of the Europe’s month in Alexandria.
He hailed the participation of children in the activities, referring to the activities organized by the EU delegation within this context.
He added according to MENA that all parties should join hands in the face of the negative impacts on the environment and climate.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater said the company is cooperating with development partners through several activities involving children’s participation.
He added that the company is giving a top priority to raising awareness about water issues, especially among children.
