Egyptian Ambassador to Slovenia Nahla Zawahri lauded the great leap realised in the Egyptian-Slovenian relations over the past years.
She made the remarks during a ceremony held by the embassy on the anniversary of the July 1952 revolution.
A number of senior Slovenian officials attended the event.
She highlighted fruitful co-operation between the two sides in fields of mutual interest.
She noted that Egypt’s foreign policy is based on respecting the international law and the international humanitarian law.
She underlined Egypt’s strenuous efforts to contain tension in the Middle East and alleviate the suffering of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
She said the international community feted Egypt’s efforts in this respect.
