AMMAN – Sudan’s Agriculture Minister Abubakr al-Bushra said Egypt works on halting the war in his country and restoring security and stability for the Sudanese people.

He told MENA correspondent in Amman that Egypt has deeply-rooted ties with Sudan in different fields, particularly agriculture-related domains, noting that Sudan is open to cement bilateral cooperation with Cairo.

He stressed that Egypt is the only country that has never closed its borders for Sudanese people fleeing the war and still provides the Arab country with all support and aid.

Starvation will never take place in Sudan, while reports on this issue are merely politically-motivated, he said.

The minister added that the situation in Sudan will get better soon, as the Rapid Support Forces are losing power in several Sudanese provinces.
