CAIRO – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty on Friday made a phone call with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan.
They discussed the serious regional escalation over the past days due to Israeli’s extremist policies and assassinations.
Abdelatty underlined the need to put an end to this escalation, calling on major powers, particularly the US, to assume their responsibility for halting the escalation.
Abdelatty lauded good ties and strong cooperation between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, voicing Egypt’s keenness to continue having coordination on regional and international challenges, said Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigration Ahmed Abo Zeid.
The Egyptian minister also highlighted great efforts exerted by Egypt and Saudi Arabia to settle regional issues and put an end to the Sudanese crisis.
For his part, the Saudi minister expressed his country’s keenness to enhance ties and cooperation with Egypt at different levels.
