Egypt has been exerting significant pressure to facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, said Spokesman for the Palestinian National Liberation Movement (Fatah), Maher Al-Namoura, emphasizing that Egypt has always supported the Palestinian cause and continues to stand by Palestinian rights.
Speaking to Al Qahera News TV channel, he expressed Fatah’s deep appreciation and gratitude to Egypt—its leadership, government, and people—for their national and fraternal stance in support of the Palestinian cause since 1948.
He said Egypt has never spared any effort to provide all possible assistance as Cairo has worked and continues to work with all mediators and major powers to pressure the occupation forces to halt their genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza.
Al-Namoura stated that Egypt is working tirelessly, around the clock, to deliver food, medical, and humanitarian aid, and that thousands of aid trucks are piled up on the Egyptian side awaiting permission to enter. However, it is the Israeli occupation that is blocking the entry of aid, enforcing a blockade and refusing to allow any supplies into the Strip.
He conveyed his sincere thanks to Egypt for ongoing backing for the Palestinian people and supporting their rightful cause.
Al-Namoura also denounced the recent protests outside the Egyptian embassy in Tel Aviv, calling them “suspicious” and harmful to all Palestinians. He stressed that such demonstrations should have been directed at the Israeli occupation, which is solely responsible for the blockade of Gaza and the starvation policy being imposed by preventing aid from reaching civilians.
