GAZA CITY – The Israeli army said a drone crossed into Israeli airspace in the southern Golan Heights a short while ago, according to The Times of Israel Sunday.
Sirens sounded in several towns amid the incident, before contact was lost with the device.
The Israeli army said the incident is now over.
No impacts were identified in Israeli territory, and there are no reports of damage or injuries, it added.
The drone may have crashed in an open area, without exploding, or possibly returned to Syria.
The Israeli army is still investigating the incident.
