Egyptian Culture Minister Enas Abdel Dayem has lauded co-operation between Egypt and Libya in the cultural field.

During a meeting with Libyan Culture Minister Mabrouka Othman Oki on the sidelines of the Cairo International Book Fair Wednesday, Abdel Dayem voiced Egypt’s readiness to provide full support for the cultural sector in Libya in all fields of creativity.

An agreement was reached to form a cultural and artistic committee to discuss cultural and intellectual exchange between the two countries and organize cultural and artistic weeks and other activities, Abdel Dayem noted.

For her part, Oki voiced Libya’s desire to make use of Egypt’s expertise to organize the Tripoli book fair again.

She also praised the role played by Egypt to achieve national reconciliation in Libya and invited Abdel Dayem to visit Libya soon
