OTTAWA – Canada welcomed the Israeli government’s decision to open the Karm Abu Salem border crossing.
“We remain deeply concerned about the humanitarian crisis facing Palestinian civilians and will continue to advocate for much more life-saving assistance to reach Gaza,” said Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly on her “X” account.
The Israeli prime minister’s office said on Friday that Israel approved the entry of aid into the Gaza Strip through the Karm Abu Salem crossing.
