WASHINGTON – US President Joe Biden stressed the necessity of reaching a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, the White House announced Tuesday.
This came in a phone call with Israeli President Isaac Herzog on the occasion of the one-year anniversary of the October 7 attacks.
The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to achieving a deal in Gaza that alleviates the suffering of Palestinian civilians, and paves the way for a lasting peace with Hamas never again able to control Gaza or reconstitute its military capabilities.
