CAIRO – Al-Azhar International Academy for Training Imams and Preachers (AIATIP) organizes a specialized training programme on the methodology of refuting misconceptions.
The two-month training programme is set to start on Sunday with the participation of 160 imams from Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Sultanate of Brunei, India, Nigeria and Somalia.
The move comes as part of Al Azhar’s keenness to prepare and qualify distinguished models of foreign imams and preachers to be able to refute today’s misconceptions in a systematic way, combat extremism and become ambassadors for Al Azhar in their countries.
AIATIP Chairman Hassan Al-Saghir said the training program is aimed at qualifying foreign preachers on analyzing issues and identifying basis, reasons and mechanisms of refuting misconceptions.
