CAIRO – Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed Al Yamahi strongly condemned the United States’ fourth time veto in the UN Security Council (UNSC) against a draft resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire and urgent entry of aid into the Gaza Strip.
In a statement, the Arab Parliament expressed regret for this US stance, which represents the failure of the UNSC to perform its role, and reflects double standards that violate international norms and laws, which waste the United Nations credibility.
Al Yamahi warned that the continuation of the aggression of the Israeli occupation entity as a result of this veto would lead to a serious deterioration in the humanitarian situation in the Strip, noting that this step gave Israel green light to escalate its aggression.
