Arab parliament condemns rocket attack on Iraq’s Irbil

CAIRO – The Arab Parliament condemned the rocket attack that targeted the Iraqi city of Irbil early Sunday.

In a statement, the parliament said this cowardly act is a flagrant violation of Iraq’s sovereignty and security, stressing that such acts seek to spread chaos and undermine the country’s stability.

He urged all Iraqi sides to seriously join hands and adopt a unified stance to deter such heinous attacks.

Earlier in the day, Irbil came under ttack by a dozen ballistic missiles launched from outside Iraq. Two casualties were reported.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility.

The Kurdistan region’s counter-terrorism force confirmed that 12 missiles launched from outside Iraq hit Irbil. (
