The Foreign Ministers of Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar have welcomed an invitation from US President Donald Trump for their countries to join the newly formed Board of Peace.
In a joint statement, the ministers formally announced their countries’ decision to participate in the Board, noting that each government will complete the required legal and administrative steps to finalize their membership.
The ministers reaffirmed their support for ongoing peace efforts spearheaded by President Trump, and expressed a collective commitment to the mission of the Board of Peace. Established as a transitional administration, the Board is tasked with implementing the Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict, which has been endorsed by United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803.
Key objectives of the Board include securing a permanent ceasefire, overseeing the reconstruction of Gaza, and advancing a sustainable peace based on the principles of Palestinian self-determination and statehood in accordance with international law.
The ministers underscored that these efforts aim to lay the foundation for security and stability throughout the region.
