Egypt’s permanent delegate to the Arab League Mohamed Arfi reiterated on Sunday Arab appreciation for Japan’s great history, rich culture and successful economic experiment.
Japan is a friendly country to all Arabs not only at the bilateral level but through its balanced and objective stances towards different Arab issues, especially the Palestinian one, Arfi said in a word at the Arab League council to welcome the presence of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, currently on a three-day visit to Egypt.
Arfi said the Palestinian issue remains Arab’s core issue, stressing that no peace or stability will be realized without settling it first in accordance with the international law and international legitimacy resolutions.
Addressing Fumio, he said the Arab League looks forward to exchanging visions and expertize with Japan through the Economic Cooperation Forum and activating Arab-Japanse political dialogue to push forward economic, trade and investment cooperation between Arab countries and Japan.
The Arab League hopes of more Arab-Japan cooperation within the coming period given the current international economic and political changes and tough conditions some Arab countries are passing through either because of drought or any other reason, he said.
