CAIRO – The Egyptian political leadership is keen on promoting cooperation with countries of the continent, including Eswatini, through contributing to building its capacities and developing the economy, said Egypt’s Ambassador to Mozambique and non-resident Ambassador to the Kingdom of Eswatini Mohamed Farghal.
The ambassador made the remarks Thursday when he presented a copy of his credentials to Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Eswatini, Hon. Pholil Shakunta.
Farghal conveyed the greetings of the Egyptian minister of foreign affairs and emigration to Shakunta.
The Egyptian ambassador reviewed prospects of boosting cooperation in various domains, capacity building, training and technical cooperation, in particular through utilizing services of the Egyptian Agency Of Partnership For Development (EAPD).
He expressed Egypt’s willingness to cooperate with Eswatini to modernize and develop its infrastructure through leveraging the great Egyptian expertise in this area, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates.
Meanwhile, Eswatini foreign minister extended her greetings to the Egyptian foreign minister. She commended support provided by Egypt to her country, especially the technical support and training courses that contribute to capacity building.
Shakunta said that she is looking forward to advancing exchanged cultural and tourism visits between the two countries to introduce the peoples of the two countries to each other.
The top Eswatini diplomat underscored her country’s keenness to strengthen relations with Egypt in various fields of cooperation.
She hailed Egypt’s time-honored and current key role in supporting African issues.
