The Arab League (AL) called for taking important measures and decisions by the Arab Economic and Social Council to support development co-operation and push ahead with implementing Sustainable Development Plan 2030 and boosting Arab efforts aimed at recovering from Covid-19 pandemic.
This came in the speech of Assistant Secretary General and Head of Social Affairs Sector in the league Dr Haifaa Abu Ghazaleh in the inauguration of the 110th session of the Arab Economic and Social Council at the level of senior officials at the AL’s premises on Wednesday.
The meeting is chaired by Morocco after Egypt and attended by senior officials in the ministries of trade, industry, finance and economy in Arab countries.
Abu Ghazaleh said this session is held at a very critical time, when several Arab countries face serious challenges, hoping stability, peace and security would be achieved in all Arab countries.
