Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit underlined the AL firm stand on maintaining Sudan’s sovereignty and integrity of lands without any foreign interference.
He made the remarks during a meeting Wednesday with Sudanese Foreign Minister Ali Youssef al Sharif who assumed his post few days ago, Abul Gheit’s Spokesman Gamal Roushdi said.
During the meeting, Abul Gheit highlighted the Sudanese government’s efforts to facilitate access of humanitarian aid to alleviate people’s suffering.
Abul Gheit congratulated al Sharif for assuming his post, wishing him success in his important mission in light of the developments in Sudan.
The Sudanese minister voiced appreciation of the efforts exerted by the AL and its supportive stands for Sudan and its institutions to realize peace and stability.
Abul Gheit will soon meet an invitation offered by al Sharif to visit Sudan.
