Arab League (AL) Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit headed for Barcelona on Wednesday to attend the 7th Regional Forum of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) due on Thursday.
The forum will be headed by High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell and Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi.
Abul Gheit’s participation in the forum comes within the framework of keenness on boosting cooperation and coordination mechanisms between the pan-Arab body and the international and regional entities to be positively reflected on the Arab interests, Spokesman for the AL Secretary General Gamal Roshdy said.
