Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit asserted the importance of maintaining Arab diplomatic work to stop the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.
That came in Abul Gheit’s remarks at the irregular session of the Arab League Board at the level of permanent delegates, delivered on his behalf by AL’s Assistant Secretary General Hossam Zaki Wednesday.
He said that the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the June 4,1967 borders with al-Quds as its capital is the only solution to peace in Palestine, Israel and the region at large.
