The 110th session of the Arab Economic and Social Council kicked off under Morocco on Thursday in the presence of Arab League Assistant Secretary General Haifa Abu Ghazaleh.
Arab ministers of trade, industry, finance and economy are taking part in the event alongside with representatives of specialised Arab organisations.
The meeting addresses economic and social files of the 31st session of the Arab summit as well as a report on the implementation of the decisions of the fourth Arab social and economic development summit which was held in Beirut in 2019.
The gathering also reviews preparations for the fifth Arab development summit due to be held in Mauritania in 2023.
The talks also tackle investment in Arab countries alongside the 2022 unified Arab economic report and the 2021 Arab food security report.
