SAN FRANCISCO — WhatsApp will soon introduce a feature that allows users to have two WhatsApp accounts active on a single device simultaneously.
This new feature will make it easier for users who need to manage multiple WhatsApp profiles.
To set up a second WhatsApp account, you will need a separate phone number and SIM card. If your phone supports multi-SIM or eSIM configurations, you can use either option.
WhatsApp will guide you through the setup process, sending a one-time passcode via SMS to the new phone number or SIM card. This passcode will grant access to the second WhatsApp account on the alternate device.
With this feature, users will have the option to customize privacy and notification settings for each account.
This personalisation ensures a distinct and tailored experience for both profiles.
This feature simplifies the management of multiple WhatsApp profiles on a single device. Users will no longer need to switch between accounts by repeatedly logging in and out or maintaining two separate devices.
The multi-account feature is set to launch for Android users soon.
As this feature becomes available in the coming weeks, WhatsApp users can look forward to a more streamlined way of managing dual WhatsApp profiles on a single device.
