The Trimetis Group, a Vienna-based consulting and IT services company with several holdings in Central Europe, is strengthening its software delivery capabilities with a new delivery centre in Cairo. Egypt is putting significant focus on expanding as an offshore location for Europe; Trimetis among other international IT service providers are seizing this opportunity

The shortage of Information Technology specialists in Europe gradually slows down the digitization initiatives and IT development projects. This trend is increasingly becoming a risk for companies that depend on the efficiency and effectiveness of their digitized business models and processes.

Trimetis, an Austrian corporation which serves its clients with tailormade IT Services, has consequently decided to strengthen its delivery capabilities with a new services hub outside of Europe. Among other important decision criteria, access to talent – both in quality and quantity -, profound language skills, an investor-friendly environment and a country operating in the same time zone as Europe, were key driving factors. After an in-depth country capability study the Trimetis Management Board has decided to establish a new subsidiary in Cairo.

“Cairo is an extremely interesting and suitable location for us and hence prevailed finally in our evaluation process over a large number of other interesting options in and outside Europe. In addition to a very good IT infrastructure and a high level of education, we can leverage on a broad talent pool in and around Cairo. Furthermore, government organisations such as ITIDA are fostering an investment friendly environment. We are convinced that our newly established entity delivers a positive impact on our clients’ digitization projects” says Gottfried Madl, Member of the Management Board and Head of Application Services at Trimetis.

In August 2022 Trimetis has incorporated Trimetis Services Egypt LLC. With that, Trimetis is the first Austrian IT company which set up their business in Egypt. Since then, the recently founded organization has moved into its office building, hired its first staff, and begun providing IT Services to clients throughout Europe.

“The aim is to build a high-performing local team, engaged into international leading-edge projects. Through that we believe to create local value and contribute to expand the hub for IT/IT-enabled services in Egypt. We are pleased to be among the first to realise the full potential in Egypt’s IT Services domain. Personally, I am grateful for all the support we received from various partners during the start-up period and especially for the guidance from the Austrian Chamber of Commerce (WKO),” concludes Christoph Drescher MBA, Operations Director and Managing Director of Trimetis Services Egypt LLC.
