As part of its plans to expand in the Egyptian market, leading classifieds platform OLX announced the appointment of Sherif El Nahtawy as OLX Egypt’s General Manager. In his role, Nahtawy will lead the platform’s strategy, widening its user target segments and providing new services.
Nahtawy has held several leadership positions with OLX Egypt, including working as the company’s Marketing Senior Manager and Head of Revenue Development. Nahtawy started his career in the telecom industry with Vodafone Egypt then Etisalat Egypt, holding various positions across marketing, sales, business planning, crisis management, and operations.
“It is a privilege to be appointed as the GM of OLX Egypt, MENA’s biggest online classified platform serving 8M visitors a month,” Nahtawy said. “I believe that the Egyptian market has unlimited opportunities for everyone, which makes this an exciting opportunity to consistently add value for OLX Egypt users by capitalizing on our employees’ talent, passion and capabilities.”
